Frequently asked
What is tasbeeh?
Tasbeeh (also tasbih or misbaha) is the practice of glorifying Allah through repeated dhikr — most commonly SubhanAllah ("Glory be to Allah"), Alhamdulillah ("Praise be to Allah"), and Allahu Akbar ("Allah is the Greatest"). It’s often done after the five daily prayers in counts of 33 or 100.
How do I use this online tasbeeh counter?
Pick the dhikr you want to recite, then tap the gold disc, click anywhere on the page, or press the spacebar to increment. Press Backspace to undo and R to reset. The counter remembers your progress between visits.
What are the standard tasbeeh counts after prayer?
The classical post-salah dhikr is: SubhanAllah ×33, Alhamdulillah ×33, Allahu Akbar ×34 (totalling 100), then once "La ilaha illa Allah, wahdahu la sharika lah, lahu’l-mulk wa lahu’l-hamd, wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadeer."
Is online tasbeeh as valid as physical beads?
Yes — what matters is the intention and the dhikr itself. Physical misbaha beads, fingers, or a digital counter are all permissible aids. Many scholars consider counting on the right hand’s fingers most virtuous, but a counter is fine when convenience helps you maintain consistency.
Why does my count disappear sometimes?
The counter saves to your browser’s local storage. If you clear browsing data or switch devices, the count resets. The mobile PocketQuran app syncs progress across devices when you sign in to the store account that owns Pro.
Can I use my keyboard?
Yes. Spacebar (or Enter) increments, Backspace decrements, and R resets. Useful for marathon dhikr sessions where tapping a touchscreen gets tedious.
